Raw Emotions

This photo is over a year old, but it's relevant... There was a lot of this today.

Wow, I feel exhausted. Two sick cranky kids, one husband, and many major life decisions took a LOT of energy today. It feels good to be dealing with my emotions rather than suppressing them with candy bars. I will head to bed early tonight and recharge my batteries.

Someone posted this quote on a list that I am on and it hit me square in the head,

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

---Marianne Williamson, Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles

Does know about the source of my fears liberate me from them? Stay tuned.

Don't mean to gloat but I'm so glad I don't have to deal with a sick 2-year old any more. Of course, instead I have to deal with a slick teenager which is a whole 'nother experience. The fun just never ends. ;)

Writerstuff and Greenmama, I currently have a sick three year old grandson, the male version of your picture there, AND a slick teen-ager of my own, so gloat away! LoL!

I hope you are having a better day. The quote was wonderful and so true. Made my day when I clicked on and saw the picture, even miserable they are beautiful!

Namaste!
